Risk In Conference, Zurich
Geoff Trickey will be presenting the following session at the Risk In Zurich conference.
‘Metricating Mindsets: Integrating Human Factors in Risk Management’
Conversations around risk tend to focus on objectifying it, counting errors, and quantifying events. They usually undervalue or completely ignore the human factor. Decisions are made by people, policies are processed by people, data is understood and applied by people. Our risk-taking dispositions are our most significant and consequential characteristics. They determine how we cross roads, plan holidays, how we perform at work, especially in risk critical occupations, and our reactions to regulations and change.
Geoff will provide clarity on the human side of risk – outlining a taxonomy that makes subjective risk measurable with a robust and reliable methodology.
Heading to the conference? We’d love to talk.
