What sets our executive coaching apart?
PCL’s executive coaches are highly adaptable, using evidence-based methods tailored to meet the specific needs of clients and organisations. We offer two distinct approaches:
- For Targeted Executive Coaching, we leverage both our understanding of psychological assessments and our expertise in profiling and developing leaders to blend coaching insights for focused guidance.
- For Non-directive Executive Coaching, we harness our extensive experience of actively listening to leaders and coaching them to create an empowering environment, allowing clients to explore and foster personal growth.
Targeted Executive Coaching
The first approach takes its focus from objectives agreed between the client and their line manager, and uses the Hogan personality assessments to structure sessions to develop the individual and their leadership skills. The coach can facilitate the creation of a development plan, aligning the individual’s profile with the agreed goals and identifying strengths that are perhaps under-used and discussing areas of misalignment and potential strategies for behaviour change.
Targeted executive coaching qualities
- Focus on individual’s alignment with organisational goals
- Incorporates psychometric assessment & feedback
- Facilitates creation of a development plan
- Fixed short term

Non-directive Executive Coaching
The second approach to executive coaching is non-directive and client-focused, allowing the client to steer the conversation and explore their own solutions. This style empowers clients to find answers within themselves, promoting ownership of change. While personality profiling and 360 interviews may inform the process, they are used based on the client’s preference. This method encourages sustainable change, as clients are more likely to commit to solutions they’ve found.
Non-directive executive coaching qualities
- Focus on individual’s gaols
- Optional personality profiling, used in background
- Provides breathing space, time for reflection
